We were on the top deck of the Dreamcatcher on our way across the lake to the casino when we saw this group of kids jumping their bikes into the channel. When we got back they were still at it so we took some close up videos.

Back in the 70's the local Crystal Beach kids didn't have a whole lot more to do in the summertime than jump off the cliffs into the river. They gave names to each level of the cliff as the jumping spots got higher. The highest point was named Suicide, and this is video of some fool jumping off of Suicide! Okay, so it's not that bad, but most people won't jump off of Suicide. I've looked over the edge myself a few times, no thank you!
The Crystal Beach cliffs are on the river just north of Castle Rock Cove. You can get there by water or land, on land once you're in Crystal Beach turn left, then it dead-ends into a right, go up and over the big hill and park in the corner at Vista and Edgewater and follow the wide foot path to the river. And be careful, absolutely no drinking and cliff jumping.
