African Grey BooDoo

BooDoo hatched on Mother's Day, 2009.   He was raised with dogs, cats, and other parrots.  His claim to fame is, when he was just learning to fly and had only flown maybe 3 times all of 5 feet each, he accidentally flew out the front door and circled our house about 20 times at about 70 feet up, not knowing how to fly down.  It was 115 degrees that day and by continuously calling his name he was smart enough to not leave and to circle until we could figure this out.  He finally landed in the big tree I have in the front and I had to climb onto the roof and use a net to reach him.  Thankfully it'll all worked out!  He was hot, tired, and slept for the following 12 hours!   BooDoo is now finally weaned and ready for an approved home!  His price is $850.  And I must tell you,  I got very attached to this little guy, he's going to make the right person a wonderful companion.
BooDoo was digging around in a food bag and fell in.  Would be a good ad for Brown's parrot food!

BooDoo is a Congo African Grey from large parents that were some of the last imports from Africa.  I bought them about 15 years ago through a broker from the quarantine station in LA.  All of their chicks grow up to be large birds.  Their life span is about 85 years.   BooDoo is the name I've been calling him, and he does know it quite well, but he's young and you can choose another name for him if you like.  And like I said, I've gotten quite attached to him - he's a special one!  It's very hard for me to sell any of my babies anyway!
We also have our first litter of Papillon puppies, you can check them out here.
